Installing

  1. Tap the download above, then open the file from your notifications or from My Files → Downloads.
  2. Android will say it cannot install from this source. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back.
  3. Tap Install, then Open.
The warning is expected The app is not on the Play Store, so Android cannot verify the developer. If Play Protect blocks it, tap More details then Install anyway.

If the download disappears

Chrome scans APKs and sometimes deletes them after reporting the download as finished. Open this page in Samsung Internet and download from there instead.

If nothing happens when you tap the file

Usually one of these, in order of likelihood:

  1. Install unknown apps is not granted to the app you are tapping from. It is per-app: Settings → Apps → My Files (or your browser) → Install unknown apps.
  2. Auto Blocker (Samsung) blocks all sideloading. Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker.
  3. Check Settings → Apps rather than the app drawer — it lists every installed app, so it will tell you whether the install actually worked.
